The human ear is a complex, characteristically shaped organ.
Protruding ears (bat ears) are often perceived as an aesthetic problem. Since our ears have almost completely reached their final shape and size by the age of five, procedures can already be performed on children before starting school. Protruding ears usually arise from congenital deformations of the ear cartilage or the asymmetrical development of individual cartilage elements. Most often the long outer main fold of the ear is not sufficiently developed. With our surgical method, the ear cartilage is reshaped and the ears are pinned back. The incision is located on the back of the auricle and thus remains invisible and a secret of the past.
In a consultation at our practice you will receive all information about ear correction. Children should be involved in the information and consultation before the operation.
